This course provides different levels of accounting/ book-keeping which could best suit your needs. The course is also designed for preparing the LCCI examination that could offer you an opportunity to enter the field of accounting or the areas related to accountancy.

 

Course Details of Level 1

Books of Original Entry and Double-Entry

  • Accounting concepts
  • The accounting equation
  • Double-entry book-keeping
  • Books of original entry
  • Bank transactions

Accounting for Payroll

  • Calculation of payroll using time rates and incentive schemes payroll deductions
  • Calculation of wages
  • Accounting for payroll

Control Accounts

  • The purposes and preparation of control accounts

Produce Financial Statements of a Sole Trader

  • Account for depreciation costs
  • Adjustments for accruals and prepayments
  • Adjustments for irrecoverable debts
  • Prepare the financial statements

 

Basic Conditions of Level 1

A medium to higher level of English would be better

( preferably Secondary Four or above )

 

Course Structure of Level 1 

10 sessions in total, 3 hours per session. A total is 30 hours

From 21/01/2019 to 25/03/2019 (Every Monday) Able to participate the examination on 10/06/2019

From 09/02/2019 to 13/04/2019 (Every Saturday) Able to participate the examination on 10/06/2019

From 18/05/2019 to 13/07/2019 (Every Saturday) Able to participate the examination on 06/09/2019

From 26/08/2019 to 28/10/2019 (Every Monday) Able to participate the examination on 14/11/2019

Recording Financial Transactions

  • The Principles of Double-entry Accounting

Control Accounts

  • The preparation of control accounts
  • Reconciliation of control accounts

Correction of Errors and the Journal

  • Correction of errors not affecting the trial balance
  • Correction of errors affecting the trial balance
  • The journal

Adjustments in Financial Statement

  • Accounting concepts
  • Accounting for depreciation
  • Accounting for irrecoverable debts and allowance for doubtful debts
  • Accounting for accruals and prepayments

Preparation of Financial Statements

  • Partnerships Limited liability companies
  • Incomplete records of a sole trader
  • Manufacturing businesses
  • Non-profit making organisation

Accounting Ratios

  • The calculation and interpretation of accounting ratios

 

Basic Conditions of Level 2

Those who have completed Accounting/ bookkeeping (LCCI Level 1) or equivalent

 

Course Structure of Level 2

15 sessions in total, 3 hours per session. A total is 45 hours

 

Course Date of Level 2

From 25/01/2019 to 17/05/2019 (Every Friday) Able to participate the examination on 13/06/2019

From 29/04/2019 to 19/08/2019 (Every Monday) Able to participate the examination on 06/09/2019

From 03/08/2019 to 16/11/2019 (Every Saturday) Able to participate the examination on 05/12/2019

Accounting concepts and framework

  • The financial accounting function
  • Types of business organisations
  • How financial statements contribute towards meeting the needs of stakeholders and users different
  • Introduction to ethical behavior in accounting practices

Recording financial transactions

  • Account for inventory
  • Account for tangible and intangible non-current assets
  • Account for depreciation

Preparation of an extended trial balance

  • The preparation of the extended trial balance

Preparation of financial statements

  • Partnerships
  • Limited Liability Companies
  • Accounting for groups of companies

Preparation of accounting from incomplete records

  • Preparation of accounting records from incomplete records

Interpretation of financial statement

  • The calculation and interpretation of accounting ratios

Budgetary control

  • Budgets

Introduction to decision making

  • Short-term decision making
  • Long-term decision making

 

Basic Conditions of Level 3

Those who have completed Accounting/ bookkeeping (LCCI Level 2) or equivalent

 

Course Structure of Level 3

20 sessions in total, 3 hours per session. A total is 60 hours

 

Course Date of Level 3

From 10/01/2019 to 30/05/2019 (Every Thursday) Able to participate the examination on 12/06/2019

From 14/06/2019 to 25/10/2019 (Every Friday) Able to participate the examination on 18/11/2019

 

Remarks 

Our college would apply the LCCI Examination for students , the certificate will be issued by LCCI - internationally recognized if the examination is passed.
